The Park Theater is Proud to Present...

2nd Annual Taste of the Underground, March 24th - 26th

TUG Event LogoOur inaugural Taste of the Underground took place on the Saturday night of the PBS tapings in 2016 at our historic Park Theater in downtown McMinnville. The celebration of local food and local music was a hit. So we're going even bigger this year!

Taste is designed for visitors and our citizens alike to celebrate our community's good fortune to host Bluegrass Underground and highlight what makes our community one of America's Coolest Southern Towns ( 2016)

To welcome those visiting for the Bluegrass Underground PBS tapings on March 24th-26th, we'll be having Funky Friday: Welcome to the Park at the Park Theater from 3-5pm on the 24th. Come... enjoy tastings from our local brewery, Depot Bottom Brewery and local eats before you head to the cave.

On the 25th, we'll be having our Battle Saturday at the Park in which we feature a nationwide battle of the bands, a battle of the chefs between local food trucks and restaurants featuring ingredients from local farms and a tasting from Calfkiller Brewery. Performances interspersed throughout the evening and a headliner will keep you entertained long into the evening.

To ease you into your final day of festivities, on Sunday the 26th, we're featuring a VIP Brunch & Bluegrass at the Park with LIMITED TICKETS! This will be an intimate event with full brunch service.

American Pride - A Statler Brothers Tribute, April 7  7:00PM
Tickets $15.00 - Reserved Seating

Today you can relive the musical memories of The Statler Brothers through American Pride.  They have captured the true authenticity of The Statler Brothers sound, keeping the legacy alive and promoting traditional Country Music, which is generational, yet crosses age boundaries.

Just as The Statler Brothers had two members who are actually brothers, Harold and Don Reid, so does American Pride, as Mike and Jimmy Whetsel are also brothers.  Both the Reid brothers and the Whetsel brothers have a life-long love for Southern Gospel quartet music, and still find that audiences at all venues cannot help but clap their hands and pat their feet to "I'll Fly Away" or "Heaven's Jubilee."

American Pride group members are Bill Tomlinson, Mike Whetsel, Jimmy Whetsel, and Adam Chambers, each of which are honored to represent the legendary heritage of The Statler Brothers. American Pride has brought back the songs, the memories, and the authentic sounds of the most award winning act in Country Music history, that came to be known as the legendary Statler Brothers.
