PERMIT FEES

Building Permit Fee   

  • When the Valuation is less than or equal to $50,000 the fee is $14.80 plus $7.20 for every $1,000, rounded up to the nearest thousand.  
  • When the Valuation is greater than $50,000 and less than or equal to $100,000 the fee is $375.00 plus $5.76 for every thousand over $50,000, rounded to the nearest thousand.  
  • When the Valuation is greater than $100,000 and less than or equal to $500,000 the fee is $663.00 plus $4.32 for every thousand over $100,000, rounded to the nearest thousand.  
  • When the Valuation is greater than $500,000 the fee is $2,391.00 plus $2.88 for every thousand over $500,000, rounded to the nearest thousand.

Plan Review Fee

  • When the Valuation is greater than $100,000 the fee is 50% of the Building Permit Fee.

As an example, if a valuation was $133,000, the fee would be $663 + (33,000/1,000)*4.32. For all results, round to the nearest dollar.

Mechanical Permit

  • Same as Building Permit Fee formula above.

 Plumbing Permit

  • Permit Application                              $10.00
  • Inspection (Rough-in)                        $10.00 each house, apt., etc.
  • Inspection (Final - Plumbing)             $10.00 each house, apt., etc.
  • Inspection (Final - water)                   $10.00 each line
  • Inspection (Final - sewer)                  $10.00 each line

Sign Permit

  • Same as Building Permit Fee formula above.

Other Fees

  • Building or Structure Demolition            $100.00
  • Building or Structure Relocation            $100.00
  • Double permit fees for work without a permit
  • Re-inspection fee                                   $10 
  • Fee for permit extension. One free 180 day extension. At the end of that 180 day timeframe permit will expire and applicant is required to pay for a new building permit.
