General Information The Water and Waste Water Department currently has 29 employees: 14 in Distribution and Collection System Maintenance, 6 at the Waste Water Treatment Plant, 4 at the Water Treatment Plant, 4 in the billing department and 1 in meter reading. Water and Waste Water Maintenance, located at 103 Bernard Drive, is responsible for the Distributions and Collection Systems. The Distribution System consists of approximately 112 miles of water lines ranging from 1-inch to 20-inches in size. The pipe's materials consist of galvinized steel, case iron, deductile iron, PVC and asbestos cement. Records indicate the initial water system was completed in 1901, followed by major projects completed every few years starting in 1926 up to the present. There are approximately 6,050 metered water customers that include residential, commercial and industrial. Currently water customers consist of 72% inside residential, 12% outside residential, 15% commercial and 1% industrial. Contact Information
